Kw Value

The Kw value is the equilibrium constant for water’s self-ionization, a fundamental measure of acid–base behavior in aqueous chemistry. Water molecules transfer protons to one another, producing hydronium and hydroxide ions, so Kw is expressed as the product of their concentrations: [H3O+][OH−]. At 25 °C, Kw is approximately 1.0 × 10−14, although its value changes with temperature. This relationship connects hydronium and hydroxide concentrations, allowing chemists to calculate pH, determine whether solutions are acidic or basic, and relate acid dissociation constants to conjugate-base behavior in analytical, environmental, and biochemical chemistry.

The squeeze machine, a V-shaped device that provides pressure along the whole body is used in therapy especially for people with autism. Here, we focus on its possible use in experiments to capture the typical transformations of bodily self-consciousness with peri-personal space measurement.
