Poor Prognosis Ivf

Poor prognosis IVF refers to assisted reproduction in which patient or treatment factors predict a lower chance of achieving a live birth, making prognosis assessment important for counseling and study design. During an IVF cycle, reduced ovarian reserve or impaired oocyte and embryo competence can limit embryo development, while implantation depends on embryo quality and endometrial receptivity. In developmental biology, this framework helps researchers relate gamete quality, early embryonic division, embryo selection, and uterine conditions to treatment outcomes. Evaluating these factors supports individualized counseling, refinement of laboratory and clinical protocols, and research into the cellular causes of developmental failure.
