Virtual Box And Block

Virtual Box and Block is a computer-based adaptation of the Box and Block Test, a standardized assessment of unilateral gross manual dexterity and upper-limb motor function. In a virtual environment, users grasp and move simulated blocks from one compartment to another, while motion tracking or input devices record task completion, movement performance, and interaction with the virtual workspace. As an engineering application, the method integrates human-computer interaction, virtual reality, and performance measurement to support rehabilitation assessment, assistive-technology design, and motor-control research. Its digital format can enable repeatable testing, automated data collection, and flexible task customization for clinical and experimental settings.

2025

The Edgeworth Box, introduced by Francis Edgeworth, is a graphical tool used to analyze the efficient allocation of resources between two entities, such as consumers or producers. It focuses on the distribution of two goods between two individuals within a controlled framework, offering insights into exchange efficiency and market equilibrium. The box's dimensions are determined by the total quantities of the two goods being analyzed. For instance, if two individuals, Jamie and Morgan, share 12...
