Green Laser System

A green laser system is a device that generates and delivers coherent green light for precise measurement, imaging, or treatment, making it valuable when selective light interaction with biological tissue is required. Its operation depends on stimulated emission within a laser medium, followed by optical filtering or frequency conversion in some systems to produce green wavelengths; lenses and delivery fibers then focus the beam on a target. In medicine, green lasers support procedures in ophthalmology, dermatology, and surgery, where controlled energy can coagulate, vaporize, or selectively alter tissue. Their precision can improve treatment targeting while limiting effects on surrounding structures.

2016

A protocol to detect and automate mode locking in a pre-adjusted nonlinear polarization rotation fiber laser is presented. The detection of a sudden change in the output polarization state when mode locking occurs is used to command the alignment of an intra-cavity polarization controller in order to find mode-locking conditions.

Green Algae

2025

Green algae, also referred to as chlorophytes, are different from red algae in having the chloroplasts containing chlorophylls a and b, which give them their distinct green hue. However, they lack phycobiliproteins, preventing them from developing the red or blue-green pigmentation seen in red algae. In terms of photosynthetic pigment composition, green algae closely resemble plants and share a close evolutionary relationship with them. Taxonomically Green algae belong to Phylum Chlorophyta in...

A method for fluorescent staining of fixed biological material with the specific DNA label methyl green is described. Methyl green is used in a diluted aqueous solution and is very resistant to photobleaching. Its far-red emission allows for deep specimen imaging, making it particularly adequate for whole embryos.
