Light Selector Device

A light selector device is an optical instrument that isolates chosen wavelengths or wavelength bands from a broader light source, enabling controlled illumination for medical diagnosis and treatment. It works by directing light through wavelength-selective components, such as filters or dispersive elements, that transmit the desired spectral range while reducing unwanted light; selection may be fixed or adjustable. In medicine, this control supports phototherapy, fluorescence-based imaging, optical diagnostics, and precisely targeted illumination, where wavelength influences tissue interaction, contrast, and treatment response. By improving spectral control and measurement consistency, these devices help researchers and clinicians evaluate biological signals and optimize light-based procedures.
