Zwei Techniken können verwendet werden, um dieses Modell zu etablieren werden: Injektion einer Krebszelle Suspension in den Blinddarm Wand oder Transplantation von einem Stück des subkutanen Tumor auf den Blinddarm. Einen umfassenden Überblick über die Techniken bei der Erzeugung von einem Maus-Modell von Mundkrebs und quantitative Überwachung der Tumorinvasion in die Zunge durch Multi-Photonen-Mikroskopie markierter Zellen beteiligt wird vorgestellt. Dieses System kann als eine nützliche Plattform für die molekulare Beurteilung und Wirksamkeit von Medikamenten von anti-invasive Verbindungen dienen.

Präklinische Modelle, die eine adjuvante Therapie mit Brustkrebs-Metastase auswerten, fehlen. Um dies zu lösen, entwickelten wir ein murines Modell der de novo pulmonalen Mamma-Adenokarzinom-Metastase, wobei Therapien, die in der adjuvanten Einstellung (postchirurgische Resektion von Primärtumoren) verabreicht werden, auf die Wirksamkeit bei der Auswirkung von zuvor gesäten pulmonalen Metastasen untersucht werden können.
