Digital Assessment

Digital assessment is the use of electronic technologies to collect, interpret, and communicate information about a person’s health, abilities, or clinical progress. It works by combining structured questionnaires, digital measurements, imaging, sensor data, or clinician observations with software that organizes results and supports standardized evaluation. In clinical settings, digital assessment can aid screening, diagnosis, symptom monitoring, treatment planning, and follow-up by making patient information easier to capture and review over time. Its value depends on appropriate validation, data quality, privacy protection, and equitable access, while continued advances may strengthen remote care and personalized clinical decision-making.
