Landmark Labeling

Landmark labeling is the process of identifying and assigning consistent names, coordinates, or attributes to distinctive reference points in images, drawings, models, or measured objects. In engineering workflows, annotators or algorithms locate features such as corners, edges, joints, or geometric intersections, then record their positions and relationships so systems can compare shapes, align data, or learn from labeled examples. This method supports computer vision, image registration, dimensional inspection, motion analysis, and computer-aided design. Reliable landmark labels improve measurement accuracy, model training, and repeatability, making them valuable for automated inspection, robotics, simulation, and the analysis of complex engineered structures.

This protocol presents a step-by-step guide for the Simultaneous Label-free Autofluorescence Multi-harmonic (SLAM) microscopic technique, including details on how to generate the laser light source, prepare a tissue sample, conduct imaging, and analyze the data. SLAM advances nonlinear microscopy by measuring four complementary label-free contrasts to investigate the tissue microenvironment.

Metabolic Labeling

2023

Metabolic labeling is used to probe the biochemical transformations and modifications that occur in a cell. This is accomplished by using chemical analogs that mimic the structure of natural biomolecules. Cells utilize analogs in their endogenous biochemical processes, producing compounds that are labeled. The label allows for the incorporation of detection and affinity tags, which can then be used to elucidate metabolic pathways using other biochemical analytical techniques, such as SDS-PAGE...

Packaging and Labeling

Packaging and labeling play a vital role in the market, significantly influencing consumer behavior and purchase decisions. Packaging is a protective layer for the product and provides vital information to consumers. It also acts as a marketing tool, catching the eye of potential customers and differentiating the product from its competitors, impacting consumer perceptions and brand image. For example, Coca-Cola's contour bottle design is iconic and instantly recognizable in the beverage...
