Greater Tuberosity Groove

The greater tuberosity groove is an anatomical depression of the proximal humerus, commonly referring to the intertubercular or bicipital groove between the greater and lesser tubercles. It guides the tendon of the long head of the biceps brachii from the shoulder joint toward the arm, while the transverse humeral ligament and surrounding rotator cuff structures help maintain the tendon’s position during movement. In medicine, this landmark supports interpretation of shoulder radiographs, ultrasound, and magnetic resonance images and helps clinicians assess biceps tendinopathy, tendon instability, rotator cuff disorders, and proximal humeral fractures. Understanding its anatomy also informs physical examination, injection procedures, and surgical planning.

We describe a protocol for the fabrication of microfluidic devices that can enable cell capture and culture. In this approach patterned microstructures such as grooves within microfluidic channels are used to create low shear stress regions within which cell can dock.

Modified Long Head of Biceps Tendon Rerouting and Fixation as Partial Capsular Reconstruction for Massive Irreparable Rotator Cuff Tears

2026

We propose a technical modification for capsular reconstruction that utilizes arthroscopic rerouting and fixation of the long head of the biceps tendon to enhance the repair of massive irreparable rotator cuff tears.

A Novel Arthroscopic Medial Knot-Tying Suture-Bridge Repair with Rip-Stop Technique for Rotator Cuff Tears

Reverse total shoulder arthroplasty is indicated for the treatment of conditions that cannot be treated with conventional arthroplasty or other procedures. These primarily include degenerative and incapacitating conditions with irreparable rotator cuff and loss of the normal biomechanical coupling of the shoulder.

The Modified Single-working Portal Technique Using Lasso-loop Stitch with Needle for Arthroscopic Subscapularis Repair
