Interface Recovery Chamber

An Interface Recovery Chamber is a controlled enclosure used to support recovery after a neuroscience procedure involving a neural interface or implanted recording device. It works by maintaining stable environmental conditions while protecting the interface, limiting unintended movement, and allowing researchers to monitor the subject’s physiological and behavioral status during recovery. In studies using neural electrodes, optical fibers, or related systems, the chamber helps standardize the period between implantation and experimentation, reducing external disturbances and potential damage to the interface. This supports animal welfare, improves experimental consistency, and helps researchers separate postoperative effects from signals associated with neural activity.

Protein-protein Interfaces

Many proteins form complexes to carry out their functions, making protein-protein interactions (PPIs) essential for an organism's survival. Most PPIs are stabilized by numerous weak noncovalent chemical forces. The physical shape of the interfaces determines the way two proteins interact. Many globular proteins have closely-matching shapes on their surfaces, which form a large number of weak bonds. Additionally, many PPIs occur between two helices or between a surface cleft and a polypeptide...

Chambers of the Heart

The human heart is a complex organ made up of four chambers: the right and left atria and the right and left ventricles. These internal chambers are separated by partitions known as the interatrial and interventricular septa. The exterior of the heart features a groove known as the coronary sulcus that demarcates the atria from the ventricles, while the anterior and posterior interventricular sulci distinguish between the two ventricles. Deoxygenated blood from the body is received in the right...
