- [Formateur] La molécule d'adénosine triphosphate, ou ATP,emmagasine l'énergie pour son utilisation dans les cellules. 
Elle consiste en une base d'adénine,un sucre de ribose et trois groupes phosphate,qui sont liés entre euxpar des liaisons phosphoanhydride riches en énergie. 
La rupture de ces liaisons se faitpar ajout d'eaulibérant un ou deux groupes phosphatedans un procédé exergonique appelé hydrolyse. 
Cette réaction libère l'énergie des liaisonspour son utilisation dans les cellules, par exemple,pour synthétiser des protéines à partir d'acides aminés. 
Si un groupe phosphate est retiré,il en résulte une molécule d'ADP, l'adénosine diphosphate,ainsi qu'un phosphate inorganique. 
L'ADP s'hydrolyse ensuite en AMP,l'adénosine monophosphate,par suppression d'un deuxième groupe phosphate.

Les liaisons de l’adénosine triphosphate (ATP) peuvent être rompues par l’addition d’eau, libérant un ou deux groupes phosphates au cours d’un processus exergonique appelé hydrolyse. Cette réaction libère l’énergie dans les liaisons pour qu’elle soit utilisée dans la cellule, par exemple, pour synthétiser les protéines à partir d’acides aminés.
 
 Si un groupe phosphate est enlevé, il reste une molécule d’ADP — adénosine diphosphate — avec du phosphate inorganique. L’ADP peut être davantage hydrolysée en AMP — adénosine monophosphate — lorsqu'un deuxième groupe phosphate est enlevé.

 L’ATP se compose d’une base d’adénine, d’un sucre ribose et de trois groupes phosphates, ces derniers étant fixés l’un à l’autre par le biais de liaisons phosphoanhydrides de haute énergie.
