Multi Sequential Flow Injection

Multi Sequential Flow Injection is an automated analytical chemistry technique that introduces multiple sample or reagent zones into a continuously moving carrier stream to perform controlled chemical measurements. Sequential injections create defined zones that disperse, merge, and react as they travel through tubing toward a detector, where signals are recorded and related to analyte concentration. By coordinating injection order, timing, flow rate, and reagent composition, the method can support multistep reactions, calibration, dilution, and selective analyte determination with limited sample handling. Its automation, reproducibility, and efficient reagent use make it valuable for rapid, high-throughput chemical analysis.

A technique for performing quantitative three-dimensional (3D) imaging for a range of fluid flows is presented. Using concepts from the area of Light Field Imaging, we reconstruct 3D volumes from arrays of images. Our 3D results span a broad range including velocity fields and multi-phase bubble size distributions.

Sequential Games

2025

Sequential games involve players making decisions one after another, with each player considering the prior decisions of other players before deciding their own strategy. The order of these decisions is crucial, as each decision influences subsequent ones, affecting the overall outcome. Decision trees are valuable tools in illustrating these games, helping visualize each possible decision and its consequences, allowing players to anticipate and plan strategies effectively. Consider two coffee...

Sequential In vivo Imaging of Osteogenic Stem/Progenitor Cells During Fracture Repair

Quantitative measurement of bone progenitor function in fracture healing requires high resolution serial imaging technology. Here, protocols are provided for using intravital microscopy and osteo-lineage tracking to sequentially image and quantify the migration, proliferation and differentiation of endogenous osteogenic stem/progenitor cells in the process of repairing bone fracture.

Sequential Game: Backward Induction

2025

Backward induction is a technique for solving sequential games. It involves analyzing the game starting from the end and working backwards to the beginning. This method helps players determine their best strategies by anticipating how others will react at each stage of the game, ultimately leading to the Nash equilibrium. Imagine two beverage companies, FreshFizz and CoolBrew, deciding whether to enter a new market. FreshFizz moves first and must choose to enter or stay out. If FreshFizz...
