Talus Lesion Treatment

Talus lesion treatment encompasses the evaluation and management of damage to the talus, often involving its cartilage and underlying bone, to relieve pain and preserve ankle function. Management is guided by lesion size, stability, symptoms, and imaging findings; stable lesions may improve with activity modification, immobilization, and protected weight bearing, while persistent or unstable lesions may require arthroscopic debridement, marrow stimulation, fixation, or cartilage and bone grafting. These approaches aim to restore the joint surface, support healing, and reduce the risk of progressive degeneration. Treatment principles are relevant to sports injuries, trauma, and long-term ankle rehabilitation.

We developed a method to successfully remove, process, section, and stain, for histopathological evaluation, mammary tissue that had originally been fixed on slides as whole mounts. This method may promote the collection and evaluation of mammary gland whole mounts in reproductive and developmental test guideline studies.
