Mri Guidance

MRI guidance is the use of magnetic resonance imaging to visualize anatomy and physiological changes while planning, performing, or monitoring a medical or research procedure. It works by placing the subject in a strong magnetic field and applying radiofrequency pulses, then using spatially encoded signals to generate images that guide instruments, target regions, or track treatment in real time or near real time. In neuroscience, MRI guidance supports stereotactic interventions, brain stimulation, biopsy planning, and functional studies by linking procedures to structural and functional brain maps. This approach can improve targeting, reduce reliance on indirect landmarks, and enable noninvasive monitoring of outcomes.
