L'analisi nodale è un metodo generale per semplificare l'analisi dei circuiti utilizzando le tensioni dei nodi come variabili circuitali.
Si consideri un circuito con tre nodi e tre resistori.
Per trovare le tensioni dei nodi in questo circuito, in primo luogo, viene selezionato un nodo di riferimento o di riferimento, la cui tensione è assegnata a zero.
Ai restanti nodi non di riferimento vengono assegnate tensioni nodali relative al nodo di riferimento.
Successivamente, applicando la legge corrente di Kirchhoff ai nodi non di riferimento 1 e 2 si ottiene la relazione tra le correnti di derivazione.
Inoltre, utilizzando la legge di Ohm, le correnti di derivazione che passano attraverso i tre resistori sono espresse in termini di tensioni di nodo.
Ora, i valori delle correnti di ramo possono essere sostituiti nelle equazioni ottenute utilizzando la legge corrente di Kirchhoff per ottenere due equazioni simultanee.
Per un circuito con n nodi, si ottengono n - 1 equazioni indipendenti.
Se i valori dei resistori e delle correnti di sorgente sono noti, possono essere sostituiti nelle due equazioni, che possono quindi essere risolte per ottenere le tensioni dei nodi.

Consideriamo, ad esempio, un semplice circuito composto da tre nodi e tre resistori, come mostrato nella Figure 1. Il primo passo nell'analisi nodale prevede la selezione di un nodo di riferimento o di riferimento. Questo nodo viene generalmente scelto in base alla convenienza e alla sua tensione viene assegnato un valore pari a zero.

Ai nodi successivi, detti nodi non di riferimento, vengono assegnate tensioni nodali relative a questo nodo di riferimento. Nell'esempio qui considerato, ci sono due nodi non di riferimento etichettati 1 e 2, ciascuno con le rispettive tensioni di nodo.

Per stabilire una relazione tra le correnti dei rami, ai nodi non di riferimento viene applicata la legge delle correnti di Kirchhoff (KCL). KCL afferma che la somma algebrica delle correnti che entrano in un nodo (o in un confine chiuso) è zero. Questa legge si basa sul principio di conservazione della carica, ovvero una carica non può essere creata o distrutta.

Seguendo l'applicazione di KCL, la legge di Ohm viene utilizzata per esprimere le correnti di ramo che passano attraverso i tre resistori in termini di tensioni di nodo. La legge di Ohm postula che la corrente che passa attraverso un conduttore tra due punti è direttamente proporzionale alla tensione ai capi dei due punti.

Con le correnti di ramo espresse in termini di tensioni di nodo, questi valori vengono sostituiti nelle equazioni derivate da KCL. Questa sostituzione dà come risultato due equazioni simultanee poiché, per un circuito con 'n' nodi, si ottengono 'n-1' equazioni indipendenti.

Infine, se si conoscono i valori dei resistori e delle correnti di sorgente, è possibile sostituirli nelle due equazioni. Risolvendo queste equazioni si otterranno le tensioni dei nodi. Queste informazioni hanno un valore inestimabile poiché possono aiutare a comprendere il comportamento del circuito e a progettare o risolvere i problemi dei circuiti elettrici.

In conclusione, l'analisi nodale è un potente strumento nell'analisi dei circuiti, poiché fornisce un metodo sistematico per determinare la distribuzione delle tensioni all'interno di un circuito, che può quindi essere utilizzato per calcolare altri parametri come correnti e potenza.

Nodal analysis uses node voltages to simplify circuit analysis. In this method, the voltage at each node becomes the main variable. Once those voltages are known, they can be used to find other values, such as the current through specific circuit parts.

The process begins by choosing a reference node, also called a datum node. This node is selected for convenience and assigned a voltage of zero. The other nodes, called non-reference nodes, are then measured relative to that point. In the example described, there are three nodes total, with two non-reference nodes labeled 1 and 2.

Next, Kirchhoff's Current Law, or KCL, is applied to the non-reference nodes. KCL states that the algebraic sum of currents entering a node is zero. This follows the idea that charge is conserved, so charge cannot be created or destroyed. After that, Ohm's Law is used to write the branch currents through the three resistors in terms of the node voltages.

Those current expressions are then substituted into the KCL equations. Because a circuit with n nodes gives n - 1 independent equations, the example produces two simultaneous equations. If the resistor values and source currents are known, they can be placed into these equations. Solving them gives the node voltages, which helps explain circuit behavior and can support circuit design or troubleshooting.
