College Student Mental Health

College student mental health refers to students’ emotional, psychological, and social well-being, including how they manage stress, relationships, academic demands, and daily functioning. In the behavioral context, mental health reflects interactions among stress exposure, coping strategies, sleep, physical activity, social support, and help-seeking; persistent stress can impair concentration and routines, whereas adaptive behaviors may support resilience. Understanding these patterns helps researchers and educators identify risk factors, reduce stigma, and design prevention programs, counseling services, peer-support initiatives, and skills-based interventions. Improving mental health can strengthen academic engagement, retention, quality of life, and students’ capacity to participate in campus communities.

Here, we present a protocol for the behavioral analysis of a project-based learning methodology for health sciences students (20-56 years old). The protocol facilitates the comparison of the participants' performance in e-Learning versus blended-Learning (b-Learning) through a monitoring tool. The results are analyzed using Educational Data Mining and qualitative techniques.
