Ovarian Reserve Assessment

Ovarian reserve assessment refers to the clinical evaluation of the remaining pool of ovarian follicles and oocytes, providing information about reproductive potential and ovarian function. It combines biomarkers such as anti-Müllerian hormone and basal follicle-stimulating hormone levels with ultrasound measurement of the antral follicle count, which reflects the population of developing follicles. In developmental biology, these measures help relate follicle recruitment, growth, and depletion to reproductive aging and endocrine regulation. The results support fertility counseling, assisted reproduction planning, and research on ovarian development, while emphasizing that reserve estimates primarily indicate quantity and do not directly determine oocyte quality or pregnancy potential.

This protocol presents techniques to laparoscopically excise ovarian endometrioma, to perform adhesiolysis with sparing electrosurgical application, and to employ intraoperative chromopertubation to assess for genital tract patency. This systematic approach will facilitate optimal endometriosis management, guide concomitant adnexal surgeries, and enhance post-surgical fertility outcomes.

Ovarian cancer cell invasion into the mesothelial lining of the peritoneum is a dynamic process over time. Utilizing a real time analyzer, the invasive capacity of ovarian cancer cells in a spheroid-mesothelial cell co-culture model can be quantified over prolonged time periods, providing insights into factors regulating the metastatic process.

Excess reserves, while often viewed as idle funds from a lending perspective, play a vital role in ensuring financial stability and managing risk—particularly during periods of economic uncertainty or regulatory change.Strategic Value Beyond LiquidityExcess reserves are not merely a liquidity buffer; they represent a deliberate strategic decision by banks. When economic conditions are stable, lending typically yields higher returns. However, during periods of financial volatility or increased...
