Battery Performance Testing

Battery performance testing is the systematic evaluation of how a battery stores, delivers, and retains electrical energy under defined operating conditions. Engineers apply controlled charge and discharge cycles while monitoring voltage, current, temperature, capacity, energy efficiency, and response to varying loads. These measurements reveal power capability, usable energy, charging behavior, degradation, and thermal limitations over time. In engineering, performance testing supports battery selection, pack design, quality control, and validation of energy-storage systems for devices, vehicles, and grid applications. Standardized test conditions also enable comparisons among chemistries and help identify design changes that improve reliability, service life, and safety.

A Battery of Quantitative Binocular Vision Tests for Adults: Testing Protocols

2026

Here we present a comprehensive battery of tasks to assess binocular vision. Tasks include peripheral stereoacuity and motion-in-depth, which are not assessed by current clinical tests. Incorporating these tasks will provide an in-depth assessment of an individual’s binocularity.

Behavioral testing is used in pre-clinical trials to assess the phenotypic effects of a disease or treatment on an animal's wellbeing. In order to globally assess motor functioning, we selected tests for general locomotion, muscular strength, and coordination: the open field test, the mesh test, and the rotarod test, respectively.
