Engineering Education Technology

Engineering education technology encompasses digital tools, instructional methods, and learning environments used to teach engineering knowledge and practice. It works by combining technologies such as simulations, virtual laboratories, learning management systems, and collaborative platforms with active learning, allowing students to model systems, test designs, receive feedback, and apply theory to problems. In engineering education, these approaches can improve access to practical experiences, support development of technical and problem-solving skills, and help instructors assess learning through digital activities. Their continued development also connects classroom instruction with computer-aided design, computational analysis, remote experimentation, and the collaborative practices of modern engineering.
