3d Measurement Software

3D measurement software consists of digital tools that capture, reconstruct, and quantify the shape, size, position, and spatial relationships of objects or anatomical structures. It typically processes images or scan data to generate three-dimensional models, applies calibrated reference points or coordinate systems, and calculates distances, angles, areas, or volumes. In medicine, these measurements support anatomical assessment, treatment planning, surgical navigation, prosthetic and implant design, and monitoring of physical changes over time. By converting complex visual information into reproducible quantitative data, 3D measurement software can improve documentation, comparison between examinations, and communication among clinical and research teams.

Neurite outgrowth assays provide a quantitative value about regenerative neuronal processes. The advantage of this semi-automatic software is that it segments cell bodies and neurites separately by creating a mask and measures various parameters such as neurite length, number of branch points, cell-body cluster area, and number of cell clusters.
