User Experience Evaluation

User Experience Evaluation is the systematic assessment of how people perceive and interact with a product, service, or system, including its usability, accessibility, efficiency, and overall satisfaction. In medicine, researchers evaluate health technologies by observing representative users complete clinical tasks and gathering feedback through interviews, questionnaires, usability testing, or heuristic review. These assessments can reveal navigation problems, unclear information, workflow barriers, and safety risks before implementation. Applying user experience evaluation to electronic health records, mobile health applications, diagnostic tools, and patient portals supports more effective design, improves acceptance, and helps align medical technologies with the needs of patients and healthcare professionals.
