3.2: 供給の法則

供給の法則は、商品の価格と生産者による供給量の関係を表します。商品の価格が上昇すると生産者による供給量が増加し、価格が下落すると供給量は減少します。この原則は、他のすべての要因、つまり投入コスト、技術、将来の予測、売り手の数など他の全ての要因が一定に保たれるという、セテリス・パリブスの仮定の下で機能します。

供給の法則の背後にある理論的根拠は、生産者の利益動機にあります。価格が高ければ、より多くの商品やサービスを供給する可能性があります。逆に、価格が下がった場合、生産者は損失を避けるために生産を縮小する場合があります。

この関係は、上向きの供給曲線によって表されます。供給曲線上の動きは、製品の価格が変動し、他の要因が一定である場合に発生します。価格が上昇すると、生産者は曲線上を移動して、より多くの量を供給します。価格が下がれば、生産者はより少ない量を供給します。これは、価格と供給量の直接的な関係を示しています。 

供給の法則は、価格の変化に応じて商品の供給量がどのように変化するかを説明しています。

商品の価格と供給量との間には正の関係があり、他のすべての要因は一定に保たれます。

他のすべての変数が一定であるという仮定により、投入コスト、技術、将来の期待、売り手の数などの要因の変化の影響を受けずに、価格変動が供給量にどのように影響するかを分析できます。

グラフ的には、供給の法則は、x軸に供給量、y軸に価格が供給される上向きの曲線として表すことができます。

レモネードの例で供給の法則を考えてみましょう。暑い夏には、需要の増加によりレモネードの価格が上昇します。これに対応して、売り手は長時間労働、レモン搾り機への投資増額、スタッフの追加雇用などにより生産量を増やし、供給曲線に沿って上昇しています。

逆に、涼しい季節には、需要が減少すると、供給曲線に沿って下降します。

価格の変動は売り手の決定に影響を与え、供給する意思のある量に影響を与えます。
