Nomogram Construction

Nomogram construction is the process of developing a graphical tool that estimates an individual patient’s probability of an outcome by combining multiple clinical variables. Typically, a statistical model such as logistic or Cox regression assigns weighted points to predictors, and the sum of these points corresponds to a predicted risk, survival probability, or other clinical measure. In medicine, nomograms support diagnosis, prognosis, treatment selection, and patient counseling by translating complex models into an accessible bedside format. Proper construction and validation, including assessment of discrimination and calibration, help determine whether a nomogram provides reliable predictions across relevant patient populations.

Dosage Regimen Designs: Nomograms and Tabulations

2025

Nomograms and tabulations are vital tools used by clinicians to design accurate and individualized dosage regimens. These instruments provide a straightforward method for adjusting dosages based on individual patient characteristics, including age, weight, and physiological condition. The foundation of a drug's nomogram is population pharmacokinetic data collected and analyzed using specific models. This data simplifies complex equations, presenting them diagrammatically or tabularly for easy...

Here, we demonstrate fabrication of collagen-based, tissue constructs containing skeletal myoblasts. These 3-D engineered constructs may be used to replace or repair tissues in vivo. For our purposes, we have designed these as an atrioventricular electrical conduit for the repair of complete heart block[1].
