Overview of Anatomy and Physiology

 해부학자들은 신체 구조 연구에 대해 두 가지 일반적인 접근 방식, 즉 부위적 접근 방식과 전신적 접근 방식을 취합니다. 부위 해부학은 복부와 같은 특정 신체 부위의 모든 구조의 상호 관계에 대한 연구입니다. 부위 해부학을 연구하면 근육, 신경, 혈관 및 기타 구조가 함께 작용하여 특정 신체 부위에 봉사하는 방식과 같은 신체 구조의 상호 관계를 이해하는 데 도움이 됩니다. 대조적으로, 전신 해부학은 개별 신체 시스템을 구성하는 구조에 대한 연구입니다. 즉, 독특한 신체 기능을 수행하기 위해 함께 작동하는 구조 그룹이라고 볼 수 있습니다. 예를 들어, 근육계에 대한 체계적인 해부학적 연구에서는 신체의 모든 골격근을 고려하게 됩니다.

 해부학은 구조에 관한 것이라면 생리학은 기능에 관한 것입니다. 인간 생리학은 신체 구조의 화학 및 물리학, 그리고 이들이 생명 기능을 유지하기 위해 어떻게 협력하는지에 대한 과학적 연구입니다. 생리학 연구의 대부분은 신체의 항상성 경향에 중점을 두고 있습니다. 항상성은 생명체가 유지하는 안정적인 내부 조건의 상태입니다. 생리학 연구에는 육안과 현미경을 통한 관찰뿐만 아니라 조작 및 측정도 포함됩니다. 그러나 생리학의 기술의 발전은 일반적으로 인체를 구성하는 많은 구조와 화학적 화합물의 기능을 밝히기 위해 설계된 실험실 실험 연구에 달려있다고 볼수 있겠습니다.

Human anatomy studies the structures of the body. Some body structures are so small that they can only be seen and examined with a microscope. Others are large enough to be viewed, handled, measured, and weighed.

The word anatomy comes from a Greek root meaning “to cut apart.” Early study of the human body began with observing the outside of the body and the injuries seen in soldiers and other patients. Later, physicians were allowed to dissect dead bodies to learn more. Dissection means cutting a body apart to study its parts and how they relate to one another. It is still used in medical schools, anatomy courses, and pathology labs.

Today, several imaging methods also help scientists and clinicians study the living body. These techniques make it possible to see internal structures without dissection. They can show problems such as a cancerous tumor or a fractured bone.

Anatomists use two main approaches. Regional anatomy studies all of the structures in one body area, such as the abdomen. This helps show how muscles, nerves, blood vessels, and other parts work together in that region. Systemic anatomy studies one body system at a time, such as the muscular system, and looks at all of the skeletal muscles in the body.

Physiology focuses on function rather than structure. It is the scientific study of the chemistry and physics of body structures and how they work together to support life. Much of physiology centers on homeostasis, which is the maintenance of steady internal conditions in living things.

Physiology also uses observation, including the naked eye and microscopes. It includes manipulations and measurements as well. Modern physiology often depends on carefully designed laboratory experiments that reveal how body structures and chemical compounds work.
