Body Planes

신체 평면

해부학에서 신체 평면은 해부학 연구를 위해 신체를 여러 부분으로 나누기 위한 기준점으로 사용되는 가상의 평평한 표면의 용어입니다. 이러한 평면은 해부학적 구조의 방향, 관계, 공간적 구성을 이해하는 데 필수적입니다. 시상면은 신체나 장기를 수직으로 오른쪽과 왼쪽으로 나누는 평면입니다. 이 수직면이 신체의 중앙을 바로 따라 내려가서 균등하게 분할되는 경우 이를 정중시상면 또는 정중면이라고 합니다. 신체를 오른쪽과 왼쪽이 동일하지 않은 부분으로 나누는 경우 시상면(parasagittal plane) 또는 덜 일반적으로 종단면(longitudinal section)이라고 합니다.

전두엽은 신체나 장기를 앞쪽(앞) 부분과 뒤쪽(뒤) 부분으로 나누는 평면입니다. 정면면(frontal plane)은 흔히 관상면(coronal plane)이라고 불립니다. (Coronais 라틴어는 왕관을 의미합니다.) Coronal은 일반적으로 두개골 부분을 나타냅니다.

횡면은 신체나 기관을 수평으로 상부와 하부로 나누는 수평면입니다. 횡단면은 단면이라는 이미지를 생성합니다. 경사 단면은 수평면과 수직면 사이를 대각선으로 절단한 것이지만 해석하기 어렵습니다. 애플리케이션 초음파 촬영, 컴퓨터 단층 촬영, MRI 등의 영상 기술은 표준 해부학적 위치에서 환자의 다양한 이미지를 스캔하고 환자 주위에 X-Y-Z 축을 구축하여 획득한 이미지에 신체 평면을 적용합니다. 개별 장기를 평면으로 분할하여 사소한 내부 세부 정보를 식별할 수도 있습니다. 신체 평면은 신체가 이동하는 해부학적 움직임도 설명합니다. 해부학자는 팔다리가 이동할 수 있는 평면과 이동할 수 있는 거리를 측정하여 팔다리의 운동 범위를 모델링할 수 있습니다. 발생학적 발달 중 해부학적 변화는 신체 평면을 통해 측정됩니다. 예를 들어, 인간 배아 발달 동안 관상면은 수평이지만 배아가 태아로 발달함에 따라 수직이 됩니다.

Anatomy sections and body planes are imaginary flat surfaces used to divide the body for study. They help show the orientation, relationships, and spatial layout of anatomical structures. These reference planes are also useful for describing organs and body parts in a standard way.

The sagittal plane divides the body or an organ vertically into right and left sides. When that cut goes through the middle and makes equal halves, it is called the midsagittal or median plane. When it makes unequal right and left sides, it is called a parasagittal plane, and it may also be called a longitudinal section.

The frontal plane divides the body or an organ into anterior and posterior parts. The anterior side is the front, and the posterior side is the rear. This plane is also called the coronal plane. The word coronal comes from the Latin word for crown. In anatomy, coronal usually refers to skull sections.

The transverse plane is a horizontal plane that divides the body or an organ into upper and lower parts. Cuts made in this plane are called cross sections. Oblique sections are diagonal cuts between the horizontal and vertical planes, and they can be harder to interpret.

Body planes are also used in medical imaging. Sonography, computed tomography, and MRI create images of a patient in standard anatomical position and build an X-Y-Z axis around the body. The same planes can also divide individual organs to help identify smaller internal details.

These planes also help describe body movement. An anatomist can use them to model a limb’s range of motion by measuring which planes it moves through and how far it travels. Body planes are also used to describe changes during embryological development. For example, in human embryonic development, the coronal plane is horizontal at first and becomes vertical as the embryo develops into a fetus.
