Diabetes Mellitus: Type 2 and Gestational

진성 임신성 당뇨병(GDM)은 임신 중에 발생하며 조산, 태아 과다 증식, 자간전증과 같은 합병증을 유발할 수 있습니다.
당뇨병은 출산 후 해결되지만, 당뇨병 산모와 당뇨병으로 태어난 아기는 평생 제2형 당뇨병, 심혈관 질환 및 비만으로 발병할 위험에 직면해 있습니다.

당뇨병: 제2형 및 임신성 당뇨병

인슐린 저항성을 특징으로 하는 제2형 당뇨병은 세포의 인슐린 수용체가 인슐린에 대한 반응성을 상실하여 세포의 포도당 흡수 능력이 감소하여 혈당 수치가 상승할 때 발생합니다. 제2형 당뇨병 진단을 받으려면 혈당이 정상 범위에 속하는지 평가하기 위한 일련의 혈당 검사가 필요합니다. 결과가 정상 범위를 벗어나면 혈당 상승 정도에 따라 당뇨병 전단계 또는 당뇨병으로 진단될 수 있습니다.

성인에게 더 흔한 제2형 당뇨병은 앉아서 생활하는 생활 방식, 비만, 열악한 식습관, 가족력 등의 위험 요인과 관련이 있습니다. 제1형 당뇨병과 마찬가지로 제2형 당뇨병 환자는 심장병, 절단, 신부전, 실명과 같은 합병증에 걸리기 쉽습니다.

I2형 당뇨병 관리에는 식이 변화와 규칙적인 운동을 포함하는 생활 방식 수정이 포함됩니다. 경구용 항당뇨병제 등 약리학적 관리가 필요할 수 있으며 경우에 따라 인슐린 요법이 처방될 수 있습니다.

임신성 당뇨병(GDM)은 임신 중에 발생하며 조기 진통, 태아 과성장, 자간전증과 같은 합병증을 유발할 수 있습니다. GDM은 일반적으로 출산 후 문제를 해결하지만 산모와 아기 모두 제2형 당뇨병, 심혈관 질환 및 비만이 발생할 위험이 평생에 걸쳐 있습니다.

Type 2 diabetes and gestational diabetes both involve problems with blood sugar control. In Type 2 diabetes, insulin resistance develops when insulin receptors on cells lose their response to insulin. This lowers the cell’s ability to take up glucose and leaves blood glucose levels high.

Doctors use a series of blood glucose tests to diagnose Type 2 diabetes. These tests show whether blood glucose is in the normal range. If results are abnormal, a patient may be labeled prediabetic or diabetic, depending on how high the glucose level is.

Type 2 diabetes is more common in adults. Risk factors include a sedentary lifestyle, obesity, a poor diet, and a family history of the condition. People with Type 2 diabetes can face serious complications such as heart disease, amputations, kidney failure, and blindness.

Treatment often starts with lifestyle changes. These include diet changes and regular exercise. Some patients also need oral antidiabetic medications, and in some cases, insulin therapy may be prescribed.

Gestational diabetes mellitus, or GDM, develops during pregnancy. It can lead to preterm labor, fetal overgrowth, and preeclampsia. GDM usually resolves after childbirth, but both mothers and babies may still have a lifelong risk of Type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and obesity.

Functions of the cerebrum that may be explored include voluntary muscle control, memory, sensory perception, emotions and speech. The cerebellum is primarily responsible for balance and coordination. The brainstem, a part of the autonomic nervous system, includes structural divisions that perform basic life functions such as breathing and heart rate. The spinal cord is a continuation of the brainstem. The spinal cord is a bundle of nerve tracts that transmits nerve signals between the brain and the body through electrical impulses. Nerves are bundles of neurons that transmit impulses between the peripheral and central nervous systems. The study of nerves can include sciatic, cranial and spinal nerves. Supporting structures of the central nervous system include the meninges and cerebrospinal fluid which protect the central nervous system. Processes of the nervous system are action potential propagation, simple nerve pathways (reflex arc) and neurotransmitter function. Homeostatic imbalances are explored. These include, but are not limited to, the effects of drugs, mental illnesses, spinal injuries, concussions, meningitis and multiple sclerosis (MS). Investigations are used to understand and explain the nervous system in a variety of inquiry and design scenarios that can incorporate evolutionary concepts, scientific reasoning, comparative analysis, communication skills and real-world applications.
