Micro Coil Assembly

Micro coil assembly is the fabrication and integration of miniature wire coils into biomedical devices, where compact geometry enables electromagnetic function within a small form factor. During assembly, conductive wire is wound around a mandrel or formed into a defined helix, then secured, insulated, and connected to electrical leads or supporting components. When current passes through the coil, it produces a magnetic field; conversely, changing magnetic fields can induce an electrical signal. Bioengineers use these assemblies in implantable sensors, wireless power links, stimulation systems, and other miniaturized instruments, supporting less invasive designs and improved device integration.
