Robotic Experimental Procedure

A robotic experimental procedure is a programmed sequence in which automated systems carry out laboratory operations with limited manual intervention, improving consistency, throughput, and traceability in chemistry. Robotic platforms use software-directed instructions to coordinate liquid handling, reagent dispensing, sample preparation, instrument control, and timed reaction steps, often under precisely defined volumes, temperatures, and mixing conditions. In chemical research, these procedures support parallel synthesis, reaction optimization, analytical workflows, and reproducible screening while reducing repetitive handling and exposure to hazardous substances. Their integration with data capture and automated feedback also enables systematic experimentation and more efficient development of new materials, catalysts, and processes.
