Measurement Consistency

Measurement consistency is the degree to which a psychological measure produces stable, dependable results across items, occasions, or evaluators. Researchers assess it through methods such as internal consistency, which examines whether items intended to measure the same construct show similar responses, test-retest reliability, which compares scores over time, and inter-rater reliability, which evaluates agreement among observers. Strong consistency supports confidence that score differences reflect meaningful psychological variation rather than random measurement error. In psychology, evaluating measurement consistency strengthens the interpretation of surveys, behavioral assessments, and clinical instruments, while also guiding the refinement of tools used in research and practice.

Soft, low-power, biomolecular memristors leverage similar composition, structure, and switching mechanisms of bio-synapses. Presented here is a protocol to assemble and characterize biomolecular memristors obtained from insulating lipid bilayers formed between water droplets in oil. The incorporation of voltage-activated alamethicin peptides results in memristive ionic conductance across the membrane.
