Dr. Li Xiang began researching traditional Chinese medicine as an undergraduate at Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). She obtained her PhD in conventional Chinese medicine pharmacology from Chengdu university TCM, working in the College of Pharmacy. She carried out postdoctoral work at Chengdu University of TCM from 2018-2021 and held the position as an assistant research fellow at Chengdu University of TCM from 2019 to the present. Her current research interests are in the interactions between lung microbiota and pulmonary infection, the role of long non-coding RNAs in lung cancer, and the anti-lung cancer mechanism of traditional Chinese medicine. Dr. Xiang currently conducts work at the National Natural Science Foundation of China, China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, Sichuan Science and Technology Program, etc. She has published more than 20 papers in international journals, such as Critical Reviews in Microbiology, Cell Death Discovery, Phytomedicine, Phytotherapy research, etc.
