Dr. Huaxin Sheng is an associate professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at Duke University Medical Center. He received his medical degree and advanced training in neurosurgery in China. In 1996, he joined Dr. David S Warner’s laboratory at Duke where he has developed a number of mouse disease models, including ischemic stroke, cardiac arrest, and subarachnoid hemorrhage models. His current research is focused on preclinical development of novel pharmaceutical treatments for stroke and related vascular diseases.
