Dr. Sihui Ma received her PhD from the Graduate School of Sport Sciences at Waseda University in 2019. Her thesis mentor was Dr. Katsuhiko Suzuki and her doctoral thesis described the effects of a ketogenic diet on endurance capacity and post-exercise recovery. Dr. Ma has worked as a research associate of the Lab of Preventive Medicine, Faculty of Sport Sciences, Waseda University and worked as a postdoctoral fellow of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) since then. As a postdoctoral fellow Dr. Ma studied the effects of exogenous ketone body administration on performance and exercise physiology. Her current research interest includes the evaluation of macronutrient components and micronutrition on health condition and performance, exercise metabolism and exercise immunology.
