Dr. Alessandro Coppola graduated from Campus Bio-Medico University, Rome, Italy, in 2010. He attended his surgical residency program at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Rome, Fondazione Policlinico A. Gemelli IRCCS, Italy. In 2017, he obtained his PhD in endocrine and metabolic disease at Campus Bio-Medico University in Rome, Italy. He is currently an assistant professor at the Department of General Surgery, Sapienza University of Rome. He has also been a Fellow of the European Board of Surgery, HPB division, since 2019 and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons since 2020. His research and clinical activities are focused on hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery. Surgical oncology and minimally invasive surgery are fields of his clinical and research activities.
