Gerardo Marx Chávez-Campos is a professor and researcher in the Graduate Program in Electronic Engineering at TecNM – Instituto Tecnológico de Morelia (ITM), Mexico. As a faculty member at ITM, he specializes in embedded systems, microcontrollers, programming, data science, Linux systems, and electronic design. His expertise is applied to interdisciplinary research in electrochemical systems, parameter estimation, image processing, software development, and bioengineering.

He actively participates in international collaborations with institutions such as Óbuda University (Hungary), Universidad de Sevilla (Spain), Inatel (Brazil), and Jade University of Applied Sciences (Germany). He is also involved in national initiatives through the SEDEAM National Laboratory and serves within the IEEE Industrial Applications Society (IAS). He leads research projects in the master’s and doctoral programs and supervises graduate theses. His academic work emphasizes the integration of open-source technologies, reproducible methodologies, and real-time monitoring systems across biomedical, industrial, and environmental domains.
