Anne-Sylvie Fabiano Tixier is the adjunct director of UMR 408 SQPOV (INRAE) at Avignon University in France, where she began her career as a lecturer in 2000. She joined the Eco-Extraction of Natural Products Research Group, which was led by the late Professor Farid Chemat. In addition to her role as adjunct director, she also co-coordinates the Master's Program in Food Production Engineering (IPA) and serves as the head of the UNESCO Chair in Green and Sustainable Chemistry for Plant-Based Products.

Her research focuses on the green extraction of natural products. Through highly collaborative efforts, she has developed many innovative methods that are now routinely employed by the natural product industry to create enhanced extracts used in food, cosmetics, and phytotherapy.
