Dr. Xinrong Tao earned her PhD in cell biology from the Second Military Medical University (SMMU) and completed her postdoctoral research in tumor cell biology and viral immunology at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in 2016. She is currently a doctoral and postdoctoral supervisor at Anhui University of Science and Technology (AUST). Dr. Tao has directed one project funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and three projects supported by the Anhui Provincial Department of Education and the Department of Science and Technology. Her research focuses on the pathophysiology and treatment of coronavirus disease, silicosis, and nicotine-induced developmental and behavioral abnormalities in offspring. She has published over twenty papers on these topics in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
