Anchel de Jaime-Soguero received his PhD from KU Leuven (Belgium) in 2018, where he studied the transcriptional regulation of Wnt signaling and the non-overlapping roles of the TCF/LEF transcription factors in early development and pluripotency. In 2019, he joined the Center for Organismal Studies (COS Heidelberg) at the University of Heidelberg, working under the supervision of Prof. Sergio Acebron. During this time, he investigated the post-transcriptional roles of Wnt signaling in adult and cancer stem cells. His significant contribution involved uncovering how morphogenetic signals regulate genome integrity and chromosome stability throughout development. Since October 2024, he has been leading his research group at IRIBHM (Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), Belgium), dissecting cellular stress responses across lineage states and mammalian embryo development.
