Female Infertility

Female infertility is the inability to achieve pregnancy after regular, unprotected intercourse and is an important subject in reproductive biology. It can result from disrupted ovulation, diminished ovarian reserve, altered reproductive hormones, blocked fallopian tubes, or changes in the uterus that prevent fertilization or implantation. Biological evaluation examines menstrual cycles, ovarian function, gamete interaction, and the anatomy of the reproductive tract to identify contributing factors. This knowledge supports approaches such as ovulation treatment, assisted reproductive technologies, and surgery, while also guiding research into reproductive aging, endocrine regulation, and fertility preservation.
