Head-mounted Display

A head-mounted display is a wearable device that presents digital images directly within a user’s field of view, enabling immersive visualization and interaction with virtual or augmented environments. It uses miniature screens, optical lenses, and sensors such as accelerometers and gyroscopes to render stereoscopic images and adjust the viewpoint as the user moves. In biology, head-mounted displays can support three-dimensional visualization of anatomical structures, molecular models, and experimental data, while also providing controlled environments for studying perception, behavior, and spatial cognition. These capabilities can strengthen scientific communication, laboratory training, and interpretation of complex biological systems.
