3d Real Ir Sequence

A 3D real IR sequence is a specialized magnetic resonance imaging technique that produces three-dimensional, phase-sensitive images by preserving the polarity of longitudinal magnetization after an inversion pulse. During acquisition, tissues recover at different rates, and reconstruction of positive and negative magnetization values improves contrast between structures with similar signal intensities. The sequence can generate high-resolution, near-isotropic datasets suitable for multiplanar analysis in neuroscience and clinical neuroimaging. Its sensitivity to subtle tissue differences supports visualization of brain anatomy, lesion characterization, and detailed assessment of fluid-filled or closely adjacent structures, helping researchers investigate neural organization and disease-related changes.
