Net Station Software

Net Station Software is a neuroscience software platform used to acquire, organize, and analyze electroencephalography (EEG) data, helping researchers convert scalp-recorded electrical activity into interpretable measures of brain function. During recording, it receives signals from sensor arrays, associates them with event markers, and supports preprocessing steps such as filtering, artifact handling, segmentation, and averaging to generate event-related potentials. In neuroscience research, Net Station Software supports studies of sensory processing, cognition, development, and clinical populations, while standardized data workflows improve reproducibility and facilitate comparisons across experiments.

Emergency Eyewash and Shower Stations

2023

Robert M. Rioux, Pennsylvania State University, University Park, PA The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) mandates that an emergency eyewash and shower station be easily accessible in all workplaces in which a person could be exposed to injurious and/or corrosive substances. Emergency eyewash and shower stations should be used in the case of a laboratory or workplace accident that involves the spilling of a harmful, possibly corrosive chemical onto the body or the splashing...

Neural control and cognitive processes can be studied through eye movements. The VisualEyes software allows an operator to program stimuli on two computer screens independently using a simple, custom scripting language. The system can stimulate tandem eye movements (saccades and smooth pursuit) or opposing eye movements (vergence) or any combination.

2016

An efficient and simple methodology for computer-based analysis of nematode swimming behavior in liquid is described. The method requires little to no investment for C. elegans laboratories. The hardware used is standard, and the computer software for the behavioral analysis (CeleST) is an open source one.
