Quick Linker Device

The Quick Linker Device is a bioengineering tool that enables rapid, repeatable connection of components in laboratory or biomedical systems, helping streamline assembly and reduce handling time. It works through a standardized linking interface that aligns mating parts and establishes a secure connection, allowing fluid, mechanical, or functional continuity between modules without extensive adjustment. This design supports efficient setup and modification of experimental platforms, including integrated instruments, fluid-handling assemblies, and other modular systems. By improving connection consistency and workflow flexibility, the device can support prototyping, experimental reproducibility, and the development of adaptable bioengineering systems.

Cytoskeletal Linker Proteins - Plakins

2023

Plakins are large proteins with binding domains for microtubules, microfilaments, intermediate filaments, and membrane-associated protein complexes at cell junctions. Plakin functions are evolutionarily conserved and are primarily involved in organizing the different components of the cytoskeleton by crosslinking them to each other and connecting them to the cell-matrix and cell adhesion complexes. They are also known to interact with signal transducers, serve as scaffolds for signaling...
