Caregiver Support

Caregiver support is the set of informational, emotional, practical, and clinical resources that help people care for individuals with illness, disability, or age-related needs while protecting caregiver well-being. In clinical settings, support works through assessment of caregiver needs, education about care tasks, communication with health professionals, coordination of services, and connection to respite or peer resources. These interventions can strengthen care planning, improve continuity between clinical and home environments, and address strain that may affect both caregivers and care recipients. Integrating caregiver support into patient-centered practice also helps clinicians consider caregiving capacity when planning treatment and long-term care.

For example, if the goal is to educate the patient about insulin...

A coplanar force system refers to a set of forces that all lie in the same plane and are subject to different reactions between the point of contact and the supports. Understanding how different types of supports affect coplanar forces is crucial for designing safe and reliable structures that can withstand external loads. The purpose of the supports is to prevent the translational motion of the system by applying an equal and opposite force and to prevent the system's rotation by applying a...
