Real Time Dietary

Real-time dietary assessment is an approach to measuring what people eat and when they eat it as consumption occurs, making dietary behavior visible for medical decision-making. It typically combines immediate food logging with nutrient analysis and time-stamped records to relate intake to symptoms, biomarkers, or treatment goals. In medicine, this information can support nutrition counseling, adherence monitoring, and individualized dietary interventions for conditions influenced by diet. By reducing reliance on delayed recall, real-time dietary data can improve the precision of clinical assessment and help researchers study how eating patterns affect health.
