3d Digitizer Software

3D digitizer software is a computational tool that records and converts three-dimensional spatial measurements into digital models, supporting precise analysis of physical structures in neuroscience. It works by receiving coordinate data from a digitizing device, associating points with anatomical landmarks, and displaying or reconstructing their spatial relationships within a reference coordinate system. Researchers can use these models to document brain or neural anatomy, quantify morphological variation, guide stereotaxic measurements, and relate experimental observations to spatially organized structures. By improving measurement consistency and preserving geometric information, 3D digitizer software supports neuroanatomical mapping, quantitative morphology, and reproducible analysis across specimens or experiments.

We demonstrate controlled pattern transformation of swelling gel tubes by elastic instability. A simple projection micro stereo-lithography setup is built using an off-the-shelf digital data projector to fabricate three-dimensional polymeric structures in a layer-by-layer fashion. Swelling hydrogel tubes under mechanical constraint display various circumferential buckling modes depending on dimension.

Neural control and cognitive processes can be studied through eye movements. The VisualEyes software allows an operator to program stimuli on two computer screens independently using a simple, custom scripting language. The system can stimulate tandem eye movements (saccades and smooth pursuit) or opposing eye movements (vergence) or any combination.
