Introduction to Cellular Respiration

Таким образом уравнение для клеточного дыханияравно C6 H12 O6 плюс 6 O2, что приводит к 6 CO2плюс 6 H20 плюс энергия,обратный фотосинтезу процесс. 
ФотосинтезЭта реакция происходит пошагово. 
Гликолиз находится в цитоплазме,Окисление пирувата и цикл лимонной кислотыпроисходят в митохондрии,а окислительное фосфорилирование происходитповерх внутренней митохондриальной мембраны. 
Вместе эти процессы включают клеточную деятельностьиз жгутикового движения, сокращения мускулов,через расщепление органических молекул для производства АТФ.

Что такое клеточное дыхание?

Организмы получают энергию из пищи, но клетки не могут напрямую использовать эту энергию. Клетки преобразовывают энергию, запасенную в питательных веществах, в более удобную форму: аденозинтрифосфат (АТФ). 

 АТФ хранит энергию в химических связях, которые при необходимости могут быстро высвобождаться. Клетки производят энергию в виде АТФ в процессе клеточного дыхания. Хотя большая часть энергии клеточного дыхания выделяется в виде тепла, некоторая ее часть используется для производства АТФ. 

 Во время клеточного дыхания несколько окислительно-восстановительных (окислительно-восстановительных) реакций переносят электроны от органических молекул к другим молекулам. Здесь окисление относится к потере электронов и восстановлению до усиления электронов. Электронные переносчики NAD + и FAD & mdash; и их восстановленные формы, NADH & nbsp; и FADH 2 соответственно & mdash; необходимы для нескольких этапов клеточного дыхания. 

 Некоторые прокариоты используют анаэробное дыхание, для которого не требуется кислород. Большинство организмов используют аэробное (кислородное) дыхание, которое производит намного больше АТФ. При аэробном дыхании образуется АТФ, расщепляя глюкозу и кислород на углекислый газ и воду.

Мышечные клетки человека могут использовать молочнокислое брожение при недостатке кислорода. Анаэробное дыхание заканчивается брожением. 

 Однако аэробное дыхание продолжается с окислением пирувата. Окисление пирувата приводит к образованию ацетил-КоА, который входит в цикл лимонной кислоты. Цикл лимонной кислоты состоит из нескольких окислительно-восстановительных реакций, которые высвобождают энергию связи ацетил-КоА, производя АТФ и восстановленные переносчики электронов НАДН и ФАДН 2 . 

 На заключительном этапе клеточного дыхания, окислительном фосфорилировании, вырабатывается большая часть АТФ. НАДН и ФАДН 2 передают свои электроны через цепь переноса электронов. Цепь переноса электронов высвобождает энергию, которая используется для вытеснения протонов, создавая протонный градиент, который обеспечивает синтез АТФ.

Cellular respiration is the process cells use to turn energy from food into ATP. ATP, or adenosine triphosphate, stores energy in chemical bonds that can be released quickly when cells need it. Much of the energy released during respiration becomes heat, but some of it is captured to make ATP.

This process depends on oxidation-reduction, or redox, reactions. In these reactions, oxidation means electron loss and reduction means electron gain. The electron carriers NAD+ and FAD, along with their reduced forms NADH and FADH2, play essential roles in several stages of cellular respiration.

Most organisms use aerobic respiration, which requires oxygen and breaks down glucose and oxygen into carbon dioxide and water. Some prokaryotes use anaerobic respiration, which does not require oxygen. Both aerobic and anaerobic respiration begin with glycolysis, and glycolysis can happen without oxygen.

Glycolysis splits glucose into pyruvate and produces ATP. If oxygen is missing, pyruvate undergoes fermentation so NAD+ can be regenerated for continued glycolysis. Yeast carry out alcoholic fermentation, while human muscle cells can use lactic acid fermentation when oxygen is low. Anaerobic respiration ends with fermentation.

Aerobic respiration continues after glycolysis with pyruvate oxidation. This step converts pyruvate into acetyl-CoA, which enters the citric acid cycle. The citric acid cycle uses several redox reactions to release the bond energy of acetyl-CoA and produces ATP, NADH, and FADH2.

The final stage is oxidative phosphorylation, which makes most of the ATP. NADH and FADH2 pass electrons through the electron transport chain. The chain releases energy that pumps protons, creating a gradient that drives ATP synthesis. For most organisms, aerobic respiration produces much more ATP than anaerobic respiration.
