Nomenclature of Aryl and Heterocyclic Amines

Фениламин — простейший ариламин и его производные известны под общими названиями, с префиксами о-, м- и р-, используемыми для обозначения точки замещения.
В систематической номенклатуре их относят к производным анилина. Кольцо нумеруется от атома углерода, несущего группу –NH2, и продолжается в направлении, чтобы дать наименьший локант заместителю.
Для более замещенных ариламинов первой точкой разности присваивается самый низкий локант, а заместители перечисляются в алфавитном порядке.
Вторичные и третичные ариламины называются N-замещенными анилинами.
Насыщенные и ненасыщенные гетероциклические амины имеют специфические названия, основанные на размере кольца и присутствующих гетероатомах.
Нумерация начинается с N атома или гетероатома с наибольшим атомным весом и продолжается в направлении, чтобы дать наименьший локант другому гетероатому.

В систематической номенклатуре кольцо нумеруется от азотсодержащего углерода в направлении, которое соответствует наименьшему расположению заместителя. Порядок нумерации выбирается так, чтобы получить наименьший номер для первой точки различия в случае аминов с более чем одним заместителем в кольце. Как показано на рисунке 2, заместители перечислены в алфавитном порядке. Альтернативно их также называют производными бензоламина.

Вторичные и третичные ароматические амины названы в честь исходных первичных аминов с N-замещениями перед исходным названием амина, как показано на рисунке 3.

Насыщенные и ненасыщенные гетероциклические амины, где N является частью гетероцикла, имеют особые названия в зависимости от размера кольца и гетероатомов. На рис. 4 представлены некоторые биологические амины, известные под общими названиями — пирролидин, пиррол, пиперидин, пиридин и имидазол.

В номенклатуре гетероциклических аминов нумерация начинается с гетероатома с более высоким атомным весом для аминов, содержащих другие гетероатомы помимо N. Например, как показано на рисунке 5, сера в тиазоле имеет номер один и продолжается в направлении, дающем наименьший номер у другого гетероатома, азота. Аналогичное наблюдение отмечается и при наличии кислорода в морфолине.

Альтернативно, префиксы аза- или диаза- вместе с номером локанта, обозначающим количество атомов углерода, замененных атомом азота, используются перед исходным алканом. Это чаще встречается в номенклатуре бициклической системы, когда атом N является частью конденсированной кольцевой системы, например, в DBU и DBN, как показано на рисунке 6.

Naming aniline and ring amine derivatives follows clear rules for aromatic and heterocyclic amines. The simplest aromatic amine is phenylamine, which has an –NH2 group directly attached to an aromatic ring. The common name for this skeleton is aniline.

Functionalized anilines often use the prefixes ortho-, meta-, and para- to show where a substituent is placed on the ring. Many of these compounds also have trivial, or common, names. For systematic naming, the ring is numbered from the carbon attached to nitrogen. Numbering then continues in the direction that gives the lowest locant to the next substituent, and substituents are listed in alphabetical order. These compounds may also be named as benzenamine derivatives.

Secondary and tertiary aromatic amines are named from the parent primary amine. In these names, N-substituents are written before the parent amine name. This shows which groups are attached to the nitrogen atom itself.

Heterocyclic amines also have specific names. These compounds contain nitrogen as part of the ring, and they may be saturated or unsaturated. Common biological examples include pyrrolidine, pyrrole, piperidine, pyridine, and imidazole.

When a heterocycle contains more than one heteroatom, numbering starts at the heteroatom with the higher atomic weight. The numbering then continues in the direction that gives the other heteroatom the lowest possible number. For example, sulfur is numbered first in thiazole, and oxygen is numbered first in morpholine.

Another naming style uses the prefixes aza- or diaza-. These prefixes show how many carbons in the parent alkane are replaced by nitrogen atoms, and the locant number gives the nitrogen position. This approach is often used for bicyclic fused ring systems, such as DBU and DBN.
