Microsoft Access

Microsoft Access is a relational database management system that organizes, stores, and retrieves structured information, making it useful for managing medical data and administrative records. It links related tables through common fields and uses queries to filter, combine, and analyze records, while forms support data entry and reports present summarized results. In medicine, Access can help teams manage patient information, clinical observations, laboratory results, inventories, and research datasets in a centralized file-based system. Its visual tools can support rapid development of small-scale data applications, although larger or more sensitive clinical systems may require specialized platforms with stronger scalability, security, and interoperability features.

Transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) is the standard therapy for patients in the intermediate stage of hepatocellular carcinoma and is typically performed through femoral artery access. Compared with transfemoral access, transradial access (TRA) can decrease the rate of bleeding complications and improve patient tolerance. A method is presented here to perform transarterial chemoembolization via radial artery access.
