Remote Camera Setup

Remote camera setup is the process of positioning and configuring a camera so it can capture images or video while being monitored or controlled from a different location. In neuroscience, a wired or wireless connection can transmit the camera feed and support remote adjustment of settings, allowing researchers to record animal or participant behavior without remaining beside the experimental apparatus. These recordings provide behavioral data that can be aligned with experimental conditions or other measurements, supporting studies of neural function, sensory processing, motor behavior, and responses to stimulation while helping maintain a consistent viewing position.

Adapting Taylor Dispersion to Measure the Dispersion Coefficient of Electrolyte Solutions via an Accessible Microfluidic Setup

2025

Here, we present a protocol to adapt the Taylor dispersion experiment to the microscale using microchannels fabricated in-house with a desktop craft cutter. The experimental platform can be used to compute the diffusion coefficient of single-species passive tracers and to visualize multispecies ion interaction and separation.

Here, we present a protocol to measure, with high spatial resolution, the unsteady surface pressure in turbulent flows. This method demonstrates the construction of a remote microphone probe (RMP) and the determination of its frequency-dependent, complex transfer function. An analytical determination of the dynamic response is presented and validated.
