Collection Overview

Peritoneal dialysis has been used as renal replacement therapy for uremic patients in the past few decades. In order to understand the characteristics of the peritoneum and the mechanisms involved in peritoneal dialysis-related complications (such as acute peritonitis, chronic peritoneal damage, and the rarest and most serious complication i.e. encapsulating peritoneal sclerosis (EPS)), adequate animal models are important and necessary. The goal of this collection is to collect the animal models of peritoneal dialysis and show the specific steps and methods.
